Muzzle Cup for Sillyshells

Introduction

Inspired by muzzle mounted rifle grenade launchers and wondering why Sillybutts didn't design one i have made a muzzle mounted holder for Sillyshells that uses the collet sytem of Silly's Spigot SCAR and the holder from his Wildstyle but with my TPU gasket remix. The cup is mountable on any 16mm barrel with the help of an o-ring (more on the SCAR page) but i've also designed a version for Dart Zone muzzle mounts, but it is not tested so i'm not sure it will seal enough  to work. The cup can also be used as a SCAR if you leave the Elite rifled shell in.

Printing Instructions

The cup can be printed just like the normal SCAR would, so with the collet side on the bed, if you fear poor adhesion use a brim, the nut is printed with its flat side on the bed and the gasket needs to be printed in TPU and with the narrower side of the hole on the printbed. All pieces are better printed with at least 5 perimeters.

Assembly instructions

The gasket can be gently pushed in its groove with a flathead screwdriver, starting with the side closer to the back of the cup and continuing to push it into place towards the front. When the gasket is in place the cup can be mounted just like the standard SCAR, so first insert on the barrel the nut, then the o-ring and at the end the cup, screw it all and you're done! 

Update 17/10/2024:

I've updated the gasket design and now it's much easier to insert and to replace if needed. I've also added two versions with increased thickness in case your gasket doesn't seal properly.
