Description
This is a free model, provided by sraoill on cults3d.com. He has allowed me to share my fdm print profile on makerworld, as he is fully focussed on resin printing (https://cults3d.com/en/users/sraoill/comments#comment-answer-518825).
You can find the original model here: https://cults3d.com/en/3d-model/art/firefly-honkai-star-rail
The provided .3mf profile has been tweaked by trial & error to provide a reliable and acceptable end result. Front-facing geometry has been priotized, as well as the success rate of the print.
It is in 150% scale to the original model, as i have found that small details like the fingers and clothing accessories dont have the minimum necessary resolution with a smaller scale. This results in the following dimensions: 165mm high, ~65mm diameter.
You will need to do ~30min of processing to remove supports, clean up and glue the print. I reccomend using a utility knife and when using silk filament: a hot air gun.
I dont recommend printing with silk and/or muli-color filament as these make it harder to print, as well as harder to post process them. If you cut multi-color filament the surface wont be a uniform color anymore, as the other colors will appear. When printing with silk filament, i have found the supports quite hard to remove, maybe more distance of support - object would help.
The white firefly figure is printed with Polymaker Polyterra Matte White, the tricolor one is printed with Eryone Tricolor Silk.
