Description

I created this after seeing some models online and realizing they all were not the most accurate to the design. While it is not perfect, I hope you can appreciate the build!

So far I have created the following options with a Wii Logo present on the side, bottom, or the Wii Logo Absent

  • User-Controlled Tank (assembled) [called UserTank]
  • Enemy Tank (assembled)
  • Enemy Tank (unassembled) [called ClipTogether]

Tank Distinguishers and Filament Color Recommendations: User-Controlled tank has clearer wheels/tread and a protrusion on the end of the nozzle. In the game, this is colored Red or Blue Enemy Tank does not have clear wheels/tread and no nozzle protrusion. In the game, the treads and nozzle are tan and the center is green, brown, gray, teal, yellow, pink, purple, black, or white.

Assembled Vs. Unassembled: Assembled means that all of the parts of the object are already connected. This is recommended if you have a multi-color 3d printer, as you can assign different filaments to each body in the slicer.

Unassembled means that all parts of the object should be slid into each other to be connected. While this can be printed with different filaments on multiple printer runs, the final object may not be functional, meaning. 1) The connection mechanisms do not lock in place and thus make it unusable for play (just aesthetic). 2) The connection points have not been tested, so some testers would be appreciated so I can improve the design!

Future Ideas/Changes and Prompt to Comment: Other ideas I plan to implement shortly include: Swivel head Any other ideas or changes would be appreciated in the comments!

Print Settings

Printer Brand:

Anycubic

Printer:

Kobra 2

**Rafts:**

No

Supports:

Yes

**Resolution:**

.38mm

Infill:

10%

**Filament:** Anycubic PLA Blue

Notes:

Printer Brand shouldn't matter. It's worth noting that I used an FDM printer, but I can update this if someone else tries it with an SLA.

The printer model also shouldn't matter

Rafts would help with the underside, I would recommend it if looking for a clean finish.

Supports needed to support the overhanging Tank Nozzle and Tread Barriers

Resolution is dependent on the amount of detail you are looking for. I chose a setting that sacrifices quality for speed (2.5 hours to print).

Infill can be increased to reflect a more realistic weight of the object. If it's sitting on a shelf then 10% is sufficient

Filament Brand, Color, and Material will affect production and final product properties, so feel free to inform me of your successes and failures!
Filament Brand shouldn't matter either
