Description
After several months of work, I have designed a ready-to-play insert/organizer for Chronicles of Drunagor. This insert holds all of the following in two boxes with exception of the huge Death Horsewoman figure:
Print settings:
Everything was printed at 0.2mm layer height with a 0.4mm nozzle. Nothing needs supports with exception to the Map Tiles STL that has small overhangs at the top to prevent the tiles from sliding out when laying on its' back in the box. In OrcaSlicer, I set “Bridge counterbore holes” to “Sacrificial layer” and it seemed to work out just fine for me.
NOTE: I recommend printing the Executioner Base Test STL to see how your Executioner mini fits. Zero is in the middle and should be equal to all the current Monster trays available to download right now. If yours is offset, I haven't yet made those trays.
I've included STLs for anything with labels to have a version without labels if you wish to have your own labels (via a label maker, etc) or wanted to translate. Be careful with Miniture trays in general because they are very strict in sizing to keep hold of the minis. See note at bottom.
Awakenings (I believe) came with cardboard standees of all Companions, Cohorts, Followers, Commanders, etc. So all card carriers have enough room for these to be next to their cards. I used these Sleeve King sleeves to put the card and standees together in one thing for easy access.
Box 1 includes all Monster miniatures in easily accessible trays so they can stay in the box while playing. You slide out the tray you wish and pull out the monster. The Commanders and Overlords have a detachable box that holds all of their relevant cards.
You can fit everything (but death) in 2 boxes with lid lift but all of the books, spirals, deluxe boards, etc. can all fit into a Catan box (if you have one) if you wish to have those separate.
Card holders can fit up to 100 micron sleeves and 0.4mm thick (~300gsm) dividers.
Things of Note:
All Monster Trays are alphabetical but Shadow Guardian (in Gray 1) is out of order due to the heights of these miniatures.
Plague and Famine bases are full of details and needed extra bits to grab, so I glued felt to these grabby bits to keep it from messing up the paint. (I didn't paint them….. yet)
Don't grab the Map Tiles holder from the top as the layer lines can easily separate with the weight. You can use the middle T piece (that divides 2x1 from 2x2) when laying down as that's quite strong though.
The Miniature Trays grab on the base of every miniature and unfortunately every single set of monsters has a different size (damn you CGS) ranging from 24.7mm to 26mm in diameter and even a taper of either 70° or 81.5°. Because of this, it's all based on my machines calibrations and may differ with other machines. In the future, I will see about making -/+0.1mm offsets for people to choose based on a test piece. Sadly, this is what took most of my time having to figure out all the dimensions of every single miniature in the game. Some bases like the treasure chests aren't even circular, they're oval. They can fit into a 25mm slot but if you turn them 90°, they can pop right out. It's annoying. My biggest thing was making all the monsters accessible straight from the box without laying on top of each other so grabbing the base seems to be the only way to have vertical trays.
