Remix of Beefy Glock Sight Press by david49152. I took his SolidWorks files and made the following alterations:
Body (Printed @ 75% infill, 100 grams ABS):
- Removed chamfers around edges to reduce risk of corners lifting
- Added "Mickey Mouse" ears to reduce risk of corners lifting
- Changed width dimension of where glock slide sits to 26.50mm to better fit Glock 17 slide with less slop.
- Changed nut cavity width to 14.75mm (flat to flat) to better fit Everbilt 3/8in-16 Grade 8 nuts purchased at Home Depot (Sku#87480-16458)
Handle (Printed @ 50% infill, 20 grams ABS):
- Removed chamfers around edges to reduce risk of corners lifting
- Added "Mickey Mouse" ears to reduce risk of corners lifting
- Changed handle cavity from circular to hex width of 14.75mm (flat to flat) to fit 3" long 3/8in-16 fully-threaded bolt (Home Depot bulk bolts) and Everbilt 3/8in-16 Grade 8 nuts purchased at Home Depot (Sku#87480-16458). Screw nut all the way to bolt head, then epoxy in place, this will give more surface area to engage handle.
Slide (Printed @ 100% infill, 20 grams ABS):
- Removed chamfers around edges to reduce risk of corners lifting
- Added skirt to reduce risk of corners lifting
- Removed support and used Simplify3D's auto-generated support feature.
- Changed metal insert indents on both sides to 11.50mm wide to better fit metal tab pieces taken from Everbilt Draw Bolt 1/4in-20 x 3-1/2in purchased at Home Depot (Sku#87480-13708)
