The parameterized mouthpiece by CKirby - now improved.
Note that this errors in customizer without a clear message. It does not in openSCAD. Still trying to find out why.
What I changed:
- four outer design shapes: straight, straight with rim for text edge, rounded and concave
- A resolution can be chosen for the sampling from the bezier curves forming the cup, rim and outer shape
- much higher default resolution. Takes 10 minutes to render on my i7 macbook
- default settings correspond to a wide shallow commercial sounding bass trombone piece, a bit like the Marcinkiewicz ETB-3 mouthpiece but a bit more shallow.
- when printing one-piece, adds a raft along the top of the shank. That way, a slicer can add support below that, so your mouthpiece will not fall over during printing.
The original Bach-like oversized rounded outer design shape is no longer included, but is easy to add if you want.
See photso for a test print at 0.15mm layer thickness. I hope to do a much higher resolution print soon for a very smooth result.
