Description
Simple mount for a DRO (modified caliper) to the base of a EMCO Unimat 3 or 4 or a similar type mini lathe clone, e.g. MJ-189.
Required:
Why a left-handed caliper?
Because then you can mount it on the right side of the carriage and count positive values when moving the carriage to the head stock.
Print all parts, cut down the caliper (arms, lenght)
If required use a file to rework the printed parts as well as the caliper to make sure that the caliper is well seated and the caps have a tight fit.
Use the clamping screw of the caliper to mount it to the carriage driver arm.
