Description
This can be used to connect sections of PVC pipe together. Cut the PVC to length and place one of these connectors in each section. Use a bolt to hold them together. The teeth allow you to adjust the angle. There is a 12 tooth and a 30 tooth version. As created it should fit PVC with an inner diameter of 0.5", it has a 1 degree draft.
6/24/2018 Added parts for hypercube or body centered cubic.
6/22/2018 Added a part for a dodecahedron. Need to print 20 of these to make it work.
10/15/2017 Added a tetrahedral part, could be used for molecular modeling if scaled down for small tubing.
10/7/2017 Added a 12 tooth version with right and left parts so it can go together to make a 90 degree or 180 degree angle. This is more useful on smaller parts which have trouble with the teeth meshing together.
10/2/2017 Added 24 (15 degree) parts which are capable of 75 degree, 90 degree, 105 degree angles, etc.
Added another section which should center on the middle of the pipe instead of being offset.
Modified SLC30MID because when I printed it the parts would not fit together due to limited resolution of the printer I was using.
Added another part at with the toothed circle at right angles.
Added a couple smaller volume connectors for use with a number 6 screw and nut. Modified the number 6 parts for greater angle and better fit.
Added an outside connector for the pipe I am using.
Added SLC4Way so that I can actually make the spider.
Added a perpendicular connector.
9/27/2017 Added 6 way, 5 way, 4 way, and 3 way right angle connectors.
These connectors are all designed for work with a .5" ID tube but you may need to scale it depending on the tubing:
1/2" SCPI pipe (available at Menards) works without scaling (measures .4935" ID)
1/2" PVC pipe measures .622" ID so you need to scale by 126%
3/4" PVC pipe measures .822" ID so you need to scale by 166%
Added a piece for connecting 1/4" doweling
9/28/2017 Added a corner for creating an icosahedral design. You would need 12 of these for an icosahedron.
