Tempest 140 Duct (for XYZPrinting Da Vinci) by Hustle Designs

For PLA cooling on the XYZPrinting Da Vinci Full-size (AiO, 2.0, 1.0, 1.0 PRO).
Works GREAT for PLA and with UHU+Glass, doesn't need a heated bed!

Previously, I stated that it's good for ABS fume exhaust, but it moves too much air, therefore creates an unneeded draft that you DON'T want for ABS!

Big 140mm (14cm) fans provide lots of airflow at low dB volume.

1. Print out a pair (HT140Duct.stl). Z-Rotated slightly, they WILL fit on the build plate of a 1.0 Pro. Not sure about the others. Please comment on your model.
2. Attach to the side holes of a Da Vinci 1.0/2.0, large format printer.
3. Use two self-tapping screws per side (drill holes first; see photos) to secure the unit to the printer. The unit will NOT mark or damage your printer, or void your warranty.
4. Attach a pair of 140mm fans. Some 140mm fans, such as the [noisy] 2500RPM Thermalright TY-143 use the INNER (120mm fan) mounting holes. 120mm fans will also mount up, and you should print out the ADAPTERs for them. (HT120Adapter.stl)
5. Power two fans EXTERNALLY with a 12V - 1Amp OR HIGHER power supply.
6. DO NOT power them from the Da Vinci Printer, although a low-voltage relay to switch them on/off might be a good idea... I have yet to set this up on my test model.
7. Enjoy a whirlwind of PLA cooling from both sides, at the perfect level! You might want open the top lid for better out flow. Jam something into the lid's switch to close the switch.

Go with 12V, and avoid 5V USB fans if you want serious results.
