Description
This thing allows to mount a Logitech C270 USB camera to your Hephestos 2's Y-carriage, to have it move with the bed during printing and allow a view of the ongoing print undisturbed by motion. Naturally I use this with OctoPrint ;)
This thing mounts into two existing M4 holes on the front of the Hephestos 2's Y-carriage. The position of camera is designed such that the lens is located on the center line of the bed. The camera's front is located just outside the movement area of the print head and thus should not cause any problems.
Note: I so far have not discovered any artifacts in my prints caused by the added weight in 4 months of printing with this setup, but YMMV. Also, for high prints the model might run out of the visible angle - I'm still looking into somehow mounting a wide angle attachment to the camera's lens or maybe mount it vertically to compensate for that. If you are concerned about any of these downsides, this might not be the best solution for you.
In order to build this you'll need to print:

If you need to make any adjustments (e.g. to support another camera model), you can find the Fusion360 files here.
