Description
Update: I had to reprint the part of this print that bolts to the carriage, the one I had previously printed warped, which is odd because I printed several rolls of filament before there were any problems (you might want to print Webcam_2 in petg rather than pla just in case). I orignally printed the model by Douglas_K (listed in remixes), but it didn't fit so I remixed it.
This is a mount for a generic webcam that I'm sure many of us have lying around. I posted a picture of the specific webcam so you have an idea of what I'm talking about.
The remixed version has a sphyrical hole in the mount that allows the webcam to be popped in, it fits snugly but you can move it to adjust it as needed.
There are two versions of the part of the model that holds the webcam (which can be switched without removing the bed), a short one and a long one. The long one is v2.
Installation:
Print both models. Webcam (2) is mounted on the plate below the heated bed, the exact same as dumbcomputers - that is, remove the heated bed and install it underneath. It's worth noting that the updated plate has a raised lip all through that area for stability, which I didn't notice before I printed this. You can torque the printed part down so it fits (or at least that's what I did). Feel free to remix this to put grooves in the file if you prefer.
Screw the second piece on with some m4 screws,
Pop the webcam into the hole; as I said, it should fit snugly.
