Description
NOTE: I have not actually printed any of these yet, but I wanted to share the design.
This is another printable LMxUU-style linear bearing, with a twist (literally). Instead of simple straight inner grooves, these twist to wrap around the rod. This may help to distribute forces (and lubrication) more evenly.
I have included examples for the most commonly used sizes. The default versions are 'light duty', suitable for vertical applications such as a delta-style printer. There are also 'heavy duty' (HD) versions with at least 50% more contact area to handle larger side loading typical in horizontal applications.
If you load the .scad file into OpenSCAD, you can see the settings I used to generate the examples above. Hint: Highlight the section you want to use and press [Shift]+[Ctrl]+D to remove the "//" comment marks.
