Lulzbot Taz 5 Speed Idler arm & Latch for Greg Wade extruders

I have thick fingers, so switching filament quickly can be difficult with the standard idler arm and latch.

I also found that the idler arm wore a lot at the point where the filament first came through, so I made it into a funnel shape to improve the life of the idler arm. I also made the point where the filament went through a funnel shape to reduce wear on the idler arm. The funnel in the arm also helps change filament, guiding stiff 2.85 filament into the hot end.
I also put a tab on the side to quickly open and close the idler arm.

You can now open and close the head quickly with one hand, which is great for when you want to quickly change filament colors.

When combined these two are an improvement on the factory printed idler arms and latches.
