Description
I've noticed in my Intex pool that the outlet is releasing the water straight out in the front and this lead to a non optimized water movement as on the outlet left a swirl is forming that is trapping some dirt and never releases, on the front an irregular movement is found and on the right the water is correctly going to the inlet (see the two water flux images).
This could be much optimized... so this modified outlet was born!
This outlet replaces the standard Intex one you've got with the pool. You'll be pleased with the result!
Please share your experience or if you have suggestions and don't forget to post a print of your new bent outlet at work!!! :)
Many thanks goes to Matthew Redmon that designed an outlet adapter that inspired me and gave me a start: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1649784
I've started modifying some of his openscad code but, after having print the first prototype, I've seen that the thread was not correct and the diameter was some millimeters too big, so the outlet had no chance to stay there.
I then decided to rewrite the whole thing from scratch. And that was nice even for exercice on openscad ;)
