Turntable for Airbrush, Painting, Modeling Photos Rotating, 608 or BB bearing

Update 8/4/2017: Updated Top BB bearing and added new 608 bearing versions for Top and Base. The BB raceway tends to require some post-processing for silky smooth operation. 608 bearing versions are fully interchangable with other section types. Top is further inspired by https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2035825 with integrated hooks along the edge.

A turntable that can be expanded as needed. 6mm Airsoft BB's (up to 42) are used as ball bearings for free rotation. 4.5mm BB's can also be used but aren't as good. I used a 20mm M3.5 bolt with washer and nut with a bit of loctight to secure the top and base so the bearings don't fall out. Turntable diameters are Top: 108 mm (4.25") and Top Extended: 177 mm (7")

Mix and match pieces as you need but only Top and Base are required. I used crossed toothpicks or Cups in Height Extension and Feet sections to add ballast (lead buckshot in small baggies) for a more stable turntable but ballast isn't required with just one Height Extension and Feet section. The threaded cup can also be used for securing to a platform if you don't want to just drill holes for screws.

Lots of various diameter, location and orientation holes for plugs, toothpics,wires, rods, ect.
