Description
A work in progress remixed off of Crunch3D's mount. Changed the funnel shape to maximize airflow and the mounting arms. I modelled this THING from scratch just using his holes as a template. Install requires m3x8mm to attach to the extruder and m3x8mm to attach the noctua A6x25FLX fan. Look forward to feedback to improve the design. I'm working on a slip on cover/grill to place over the Noctua.
On the craze of upgrading to Noctua on my Prusa, I ordered the 40mm fan for the hotend and this 60mm for the blower. My blower fan died days after I received the Noctua so I was forced to upgrade from the stock blower. It is a quieter fan but I will have to play with the fan speed to get the same kind of bridging performance as the stock blower provided. It's fun modding and testing new parts on the Prusa. love it.
