Durafly Tundra Snow Skis

I really like https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1862996 but they don't fit on my print bed and I hate gluing/welding things together. This was done from scratch in OpenSCAD to closely match workshopbob's great model.

These are a bit shorter and the pivot point is nearer the center of the skis. This model is also not as sexy as the inspiration as I don't have down a great way to do all the fillets in OpenSCAD. Nevertheless they should work well.

I've printed a set and they look like they will work fine. Flight testing yet to come.

You will likely need some support for the side spacer to print correctly. I'm considering rendering the spacer as a separate part so that this can be printed with no support.

I used .2mm layer height, 7 bottom layers, 3 top layers which will give a mostly solid lower ski. Choose whatever infill you trust above that. I went 25% infill and things seem plenty strong. You will have to print one ski mirrored in your slicer to get a left/right pair.

After printing I placed the tip up to between the first and second cross support in boiling water for 2.5 minutes and then pressed into a frying pan with a bunched up paper towel on top providing pressure into the round edge. I think they turned out well.
