BIG UPDATE.....
After over 3 years of developing this 3D printer, I am finally satisfied enough with the design to say that it is complete!!! Not only that, but I have fully built, assembled and wired this final iteration! The only thing left for me to finish is to update my old configuration files to work with the latest version of RepRapFirmware and to try to get just a few high quality prints out of the printer. I know many people have reached out to me and are eager about having me update all of the files as soon as possible so that they can build my design themselves, however, not until I complete these last two steps will I finally update everything on this page. That update will include all of the latest STL and STEP files, the latest BOM, all of the latest configuration files, my Cura profiles, and more. As I said, I have been working on this design for over 3 years now. As such, this printer is my baby. It's the biggest home engineering project I've ever taken on, and probably the best engineering design work I have ever done. Therefore, I want to be the first person to use my own design I've worked so hard on. If you couldn't tell, the design of the printer as a whole is not only unique, but it has also taken on a fairly radical feature that is non existant in any 3D printer in the world. For that reason as well, I want to make sure that my final design actually works and works quite well before finally releasing the design to the world. As of right now my schedule for the upcoming few weeks is fairly busy. However, I fully expect to be finished configuring and tuning the printer around the first week of October (2021) at which I will then fully release my design here on Thingiverse!
INFO TO BE UPDATED WHEN THE DESIGN IS FULLY RELEASED AT THE BEGINNING OF OCTOBER...
This is a Mini CoreXY 3D printer designed to be high end, relatively cheap, and use a bunch of spare parts I had laying around. This printer features...
-- A compact, sturdy, and portable design
-- CoreXY kinematics
-- Sensorless homing
-- Dual Z axis' (levels the X axis)
-- BLTouch leveling probe
-- Compatible with any E3D hotend or the Mosquito Hotend
For the electronics and firmware, I decided to go with...
-- Duet 2 Wifi 32 Bit Controller
-- ReprapFirmware
-- 7" Paneldue Touchscreen
-- 24v Power supply
-- Custom portable electronics enclosure
Some other things featured my build that aren't specific to this design are...
-- Bondtech extruder
-- 0.9 Deg X & Y Nema 17 stepper motors
