Description

Here are two designs (and a blank) for an improved bin door to provide better cleaning of the brush. Based on mixed reviews of latest official design I think the performance depends on the exact properties of the hair shed by your dog/cat/significant other so which works best may depend on your circumstances. These have been designed to work with the 500/600 series Aerovac bin and grey brush head module. The clearances are critical as Roomba doesn’t like any drag on the brush as it then thinks it is tangled and will give the ‘Move Roomba to another location’ error.
‘Toothed door’ is a simple toothed design which seems to work well for me - removing Cocker Spaniel fur. The brush is kept cleaner than with the standard door.
‘Corrugated door’ is a fancier design with hollow teeth which should clog less (reported as an issue with some users of the current Roomba toothed design). The wider teeth drag the brushes slightly more which may upset Roomba particularly when on carpets but it may work better depending on your fluff type and your Roomba.
‘Door with blank area’ is a blank design with the curved section missing so that you can try out your own design without having to re draw the catch and hinges.
