Updates to parts 14th October 2018
This project is the culmination of countless hours of design, test flights, crashes, crash analysis and redesign. Resulting in a fantastic, robust and feature packed quad platform.
The next step is not to just give the community some random STL's but a complete build guide including print settings, shopping list and comprehensive instructions. I will also attempt to explain what many of the terms in FPV Quad building as well as give comprehensive instructions for setup of your quads flight controller and Radio.
Manual.pdfIf you have always wanted to build your own FPV quad copter but had no idea where to begin, what design to go with, or what components you needed then this is the project for you.
The Ultimate P230 gets it's DNA from the original Peon230 but it has evolved way past this basic concept into a solid tried and tested design packed full of features:
(* Flight time based on 3000mah battery)
When starting out Long flight times take the frustration out of learning without changing batteries every couple of mins. Want to go fast be more nimble? Just use a smaller battery.
The total cost to build this Quad is about AUD$360 not including a radio transmitter or FPV goggles. You could however build the quad for about 1/3rd that price using cheaper components. This is not to say lesser quality but perhaps lacking some of the features. for example I use a Betaflight F4 Flight Controller in this project that costs about $50 you could use a Naze32 board for $15 which is a fantastic flight controller but doesn't have all the features or as fast a processor but will work perfectly fine.
