Description

Download the .zip file that contains the STL HD files.
The others are only there for the graphical representation of the system.
The reel on the picture is a 4.5Kg reel.

This system can be used if you have previously reinforced the arch of the Z axis.
Be careful though, the bearing is particularly technical to print.
For example: with too much filament flow, the parts of the bearings will stick together.

The spool holding screw is equipped with a 1/2 turn quick thread to avoid having to screw for 2 minutes when using small spools

I printed the test version that is on the picture with PLA to check the feasibility of the project. I chose PLA because it is a material that sticks a lot and also because it is the most common.

However, considering the weakness of the PLA against the moisture, heat and time, I recommend printing this system with a more durable material.
