Description
I was looking to tidy up my cutters and pliers when I found suzysheer66's plier holder brackets and they were just what I was looking for. I didn't have any plastic or wooden dowels, but I did have the old shafts from my prusa mk2 so I used those. I changed the openings on the brackets to 8.3mm for the 8mm printer shafts and made a tool caddy platform with receptacles that suit the type of tools I use the most, and a little bucket for a digital caliper to put on either end.
This is a great way to use those old printer rods and they give this tool stand a great amount of weight even when there are no tools on it so it really is a heavy duty, compact all-in-one work bench tool holder. It can be modified fairly easily to work with whatever comparable rods or dowels you might have on hand and for the specific types of tools you use the most!
