Description
I made these in TinkerCAD to help with a problem that I have. Apparently I thunder through the halls like some sort of human water buffalo, so every time I would walk past the record player it would skip. Like every time.
I'm not even that fat, I swear!
So anyway, I made four of these mounts (8pcs total) so that, coupled with a spring, some hot glue and maybe an adhesive pad, my record player would not absorb all the shock and awe that my thunder thighs apparently create.
They require a pretty robust spring to place in between the parts. My advice is to go to some hobby store or Amazon and get a box of assorted springs. Depending on the weight of your record player and the amount of stabilization needed, you may have to switch it up a bit.
Once they're hot-glued together with a spring connecting them, they're pretty good actually!
Place them in the four corners of your player and check they're evenly distributed.
Also, consider investing in some sort adhesive pad to stick the mounts to the bottom of the unit itself! I haven't done it yet, and nothing horrible has happened, but I do wonder if the player could come crashing down one day due to slippage of the mounts from underneath.
That said, good luck!
