Paint Pole Hook/Decoy Retriever/Lure Retriever

This is a simple adapter that allows for a paint pole to be coupled to a bike hook from the local hardware store (Lowe's, Home Depot, Walmart, etc. all sell these).

Decoy retrieval hooks are at least $25 from what I've seen, so I made this instead. The paint pole was $4.99 and the hook was $1.28, so for less than $7 I have a way to retrieve decoys, fishing lures, and anything else I need to snag.

I printed mine from Sainsmart TPU and it's incredibly strong. I cannot pull the threads loose with my hands and picking up a 15 pound ammo can was no problem. I suspect this could be printed in many materials as long as the layer adhesion is very good and the infill percentage is high. The flex in TPU seems to help with any shock that would separate the layers though.
