The following instruction is only useful for electrically talented people. No liability is assumed for damages resulting from this!
For an existing battery holder I have created a cover to prevent the cells from falling out in case of an impact.
The "high quality" battery clip I bought in the store is terrible and the cables are very thin. I decided to make my own clip from an old 9V battery.
The cable outlet (2x 0.75mm²) is soldered to the shortened contacts and strain-relieved with a
cable tie (a small screwdriver is very helpful for mounting in the cover - a bit tricky).
At the other end of the cable I soldered a
DC-plug which fits into my devices.
To hold the
battery holder in the cover, I stretched an office rubber band around the lower edge of the cells.
Finally, I have a beautiful looking powerbank with about 12 volts (depending on the cell used).
