Description
This is a printable telescope with very few parts that I'm making for my son as a Christmas gift. This is my first attempt to make a telescope, and I am really happy with the result. It works really well. And was easy to build and print. It has 2 different mounts, The telescope_mount is for a old tripod (seben EQ3) Second one is Vixen Style Dovetail.
Update 16.11.2019
I added a new piece to the telescope. Now you can mount a raspberry pi camera directly
on to the telescope instead of mirror end eyepiece. The new parts are:
1.telescope_mount
2.vixen_mount
Hardware needed:
1- 114mm mirror with a secondary mirror
2- Focuser
3- M4-0.7 Threaded Heat Set Inserts
4- 400 x 14mm Carbon fiber rods
5- M4 screws
6- M4 nuts
7- Telescope eyepiece
Printed parts:
You need one of each piece, except the clips. You need 3 of them.
Total cost, not incl PLA was $69, you can of course, make your own focuser and save $25
You only need support for Telescope_mount
All tips are greatly appreciated!
