Description
Ful linear Grizzly Bear upgrade with 300x300x400mm print area.
Extrusions replacements/addons needed:
replace v_slot_top with 1 x 390mm 2040 v-slot
replace v_slot_vertical_sides with 550mm 2040 v-slot
replace v_slot_front_rear with 470mm 2040 v-slot
replace v_slot_bottoms with 500mm 2040 v-slot
replace Z axis lead screws with 500mm ones
add 1 x 500mm 2040 v-slot for bottom side (Y rail support)
add 1 x 490mm 2020 v-slot (for X rail support)
1 x HGH15CA block and 1 x HGR15RH x 380mm rail on X
1 x HGW15CC block and 1 x HGR15RH x 500mm rail on Y
2 x MGN12H blocks and 2 x MGNR12R x 490mm rails on Z
Instead of HGW15CA and HGW15CC you can use TRH15VN and TRH15FL from TBI Motion. I did, at half the price, for the same quality.
For rails alignment, you must print and use the helpers.
MGN12H is too floppy for my taste, I used it only on Z axis and cannot beat HGW15 with its 4 rows of balls and precision.
Having more balls and grease nipples, matter! :)
The whole frame is taller and wider than the original Bear, to accomodate various styles of extruders, but still use the whole printable bed area with space to spare for wire brush, external purge containers, etc.
The X-carriage is for the Bear Extruder (last dev).
Cable management for the X carriage is done with zip-ties, but it's up to you to come up with a better idea (and share it back).
There is no History in some of the Fusion Files for some of the modded parts. Most of the models come from a different system and have no history or sketches.
This is the latest iteration with what I am currently using.
