Description

After seeing an Aukey LED mood lamp on Amazon the other day, I thought to myself "Gee, I bet I could build that!"... So, I did! Unlike the Aukey lamp, this one is WiFi controllable rather than requiring you to physically touch the lamp. That also means that the exact color and brightness can be set to whatever you want it to be.

It uses a generic WiFi enabled LED strip controller (these can be found all over the place for cheap). I personally flash the ESPurna firmware onto them so that I can use them with HomeAssistant, but that's your choice.
This controller is coupled with some RGB LED strips to create a mood lighting piece that can be controlled (on/off, color) via WiFi. HomeAssistant allows integration with Amazon Alexa and Google Home, so that's certainly an additional bonus.

The lamp prints in three pieces - the base, the post that the RGB LED strips wrap around, and then the shade. The post is the tallest piece, being right around 202mm. I've included the Fusion360 file if you want to make any adjustments to the size to fit your needs and/or printer.

I printed the shade with 5% infil, which are those vertical lines that you see in the shade when it's lighted. I think I might try reprinting with no infill (maybe make the shade thinner while I'm at it) to remove the vertical lines.
