NightLight Saber

May the 4th be with you!

I have always thought my night lights were boring... With May 4th coming up quickly I thought it would be a great idea to modify my night lights and turn them into something more fun. There are two versions for you to choose from, both are similar but not quite exact so as to avoid any legal issues. If you would like to see more designs let me know in the comments, or feel free to design your own.

Nightlights are the Maxxima MLN-16 LED Plug in Night Light with Auto Dusk to Dawn Sensor and can be purchased from Amazon (Not an Affil link):

Print Instructions:

1. The Saber Base parts will need support.
2. I recommend that you print in a dark color and paint, I printed in white and the light came right through the saber and lost the effect of the blade shining, but as soon as I painted it, it was good to go.
3. The Blade should be printed in "Vase Mode" or as CURA calls it "Spiralize Outer Contour" You can increase the Z if you want a longer blade.

Build Instructions.

1. Remove the clear plastic by sliding it off.
2. Remove the top ring, this also slides right off. You might need a pair of pliers if its too tight.
3. Remove the Phillips screw and the front panel will come right off.
4. I taped my electronics to the back part but I am sure you could glue it in place. If you do not attach it somehow it will slide out when you try to plug it in.
5. Insert your blade part so that the open end is towards the light and the closed end is at the top, this will give a better light effect.
6. Simply slide into your NightLight Saber and plug it into the wall.

Edit 5/16/19: Some users have reported that their slicer is having issues with the Red Saber base, so I have edited the file to hopefully correct the issue.
