L-39 Bombs and Pylon

This is the wing weapons pylon, dual bomb rack and bomb. The bomb has a slot that will fit the Freewing weapon mount male piece if you want to use it as a single. The rack has a slot to use the male piece to attach to the pylon. I modifed the existing wing pylon that used to hold the fuel tank by cutting it off at the top of the tank and installing the Freewing female mounting piece. I cut a slot in what was left in the tank so that the tank can still be mounted with the Freewing male piece. The 3D printed pylon was installed inboard from the foam pylon approximately 72mm. Install the right side first as it is close to the flap servo arm and then match the distance for the left one. You need to make an Exacto knife cut into the foam where the two tabs from the pylon touch the wing surface. I used the rubber cement that came with the plane to attach the pylon to the wing. The rocket launcher STL was posted in RCGroups in the L-39 forum. I am not sure how scale the bomb and rack is. I only found one photo to scale it off of. I actually like my weapon pylon better than the foam one that came with the model. I just added a new rear bomb rack piece that has a rounded edge to match the front bomb rack part better than the original.
