Description
It's been 2 years since I originally worked on the melamine wick system for the polysher, and in using it I found it to be finicky as heck in getting it just right to go from alarm/fault to no mist. It seemed the tension required was too fine for the coarse screw I designed.
Well, today, after nearly smashing the "Edition 2" Polysher they sent me after receiving not 1 but 2 craptacular nebulizers I had enough.
So I put my head to it, and finally figured out what was giving me all of the headaches setting up my own melamine wicks. It was the wick shape itself.
So I redesigned it, tested it, and found this design puts out double the mist and consistently hits the top of the machine. Better yet, it's a snap to dial in and only requires 1 or two (at most) raisings to get back to production.
I'm calling it UBERNeb. I know, it's lame, but it's not the worst idea I had for a name.
I included a full walkthrough this time on how to construct the optimized melamine wick. Aside from a tension disk, my original design for the precision case hasn't changed.
