THIS PROJECT IS PUT ON HOLD!

There's a flaw in the XY-carriage-system, as it'll bump into the frame a few centimetres too early. A fix would need a redesign of the frame!

This is an h-bot 3D-printer with the possibility to be turned into a full coreXY system.

The goal is to create a ridgid printer with a small footprint but still good print size to total volume ratio that's energy efficient and fits onto an IKEA kallax shelf (or into one if you take some floors out. Almost all parts are either bought or CNC milled from 4mm thick aluminium plates.

You'll need access to a CNC machine capable of doing at least 224mm by 300mm jobs to recreate this thing.

The total print volume should be either 220mm by 220mm by 280mm or, if you want a non-milled (glass) printing bed, 205mm by 220mm by 280mm. (The larger print volume requires two small notches in the printbed to fit.)

I'll update this thing (slowly) as I go. Once I'm finished completely I'll create a BOM for the different versions of this printer. I'm also still researching a lot. Any critique, comment and idea will be greatly appreciated!

The Blender files are provided.

I also used a bunch of models other people made (I hope I didn't mix up or forget anything):
