Description
On-axle servo steering guard as popular on 1:1 LR Defenders, more for show on these due to the location of the servo, but at least it hides the linkage nicely and makes things look more scale.
Uses 2 holes on each chassis rail that already exist. Front holes go into the front bumper crossmember. You can either use nuts and bolts on the back holes or tap them as I did.
Orientate to 121.15 degrees to get the flat front surface on the bed, mine then printed without supports.
This suits my D90 wheelbase SCX10 - you may need a touch more clearance on the back of the guard depending on your wheelbase/servo depth. I also have the front bumper as close to the chassis as possible, may require a slight trim on the mounting posts.
