Description
This duct is designed for the Creality CR-10S Pro printer to incorporate the 5015 blower fan.
The duct is embedded with an adapter that uses the original blower holes that appear on the printing head enclosure.
To install the fan (blower) you will need to remove the original fan and prepare 4 M3 screws of 10 mm long in ordet to attach the fan adapter.
Insert an M4 nut in the hexagon slot before attaching the duct to the printer cover.
There are slits that allow a position calibration in Z-direction. After setting the correct/desired height, tighten the 4 M3 screws.
Install the fan using 2 M4 screws. 20 and 25 mm long. 2 M4 nuts are required to attach the fan. The first nut has been already inserted (above). Use the second nut to tighten the screw located in front.
Update 3:
Updated the duct design to fit the original 4020 blower coming from Creality.
This allows to expand the blowing from two sides as for the 5015 blower.
To install the duct you will need 2 screws M3x18 and one M3x20, plus 3 M3 nuts.
The bracket itself uses same screws as on other versions.
Two versions are available - Open Loop (with no bracket) and Closed Loop bracket on "horns".
Not tested by me as 5015 is installed, so will be happy for feedback.
Update 2:
Designed another version of this duct.
Added dual-side cooling.
The duct is split at the blower exit and each tray leads its own portion of air - one to left and one to right.
The "old" tray has a smaller entrance in order to compensate toward the longer way for the "new" direction.
There are 3 files there: V6a, V6b and V7
They have a same duct design, but they differ by the front bracket that connects the both "horns" edges.
V6a - No bracket - This may be useful for those that like to see the nozzle during the print.
V6b - Has a flat bracket.
V7 - Has a rounded extending bracket - To make the design stiffer. Especially for those who print the duct from PLA.
Update 1:
Added another version of the duct - Called V5. This time a trial to enclose the air around the nozzle.
Just installed for testing the mechanical design, but didn't test running.
