Description

Very simple bowden tube adaptors to change the bowden tubes fixtures from M8 to M6 and M10.

I recently upgraded my original Bowden tube to a Capricorn PTFE one, which rather nicely came with some MUCH more solid feeling clamps. The only downside being the one for the extruder was M6 x 1.0 and the one on top of the hot end was a M10 x 1.0, as standard, these are both M8 x 1.0.

Rather than found these awkwardly sized fittings, i fired up Fusion and designed these!

Both components stay cool enough where you can print these in PLA (i have been running them for a few weeks with no issues)

Id recommend printing with 0.100 layer height to get the detail on the threads in the part, of course clean these up when they come off of the printer.

Screw the adaptor into the extruder and/or hot-end, then screw the fittings in place as shown and hey-presto, your bowden tube wont randomly pop out of its clamps anymore!

Tip: If, when you come to screw the adaptor into the extruder's plastic bracket, you find its too big, try just cutting a few mm off of the end. I found that on half of my prints, the "funnel" ive added to the part to aid in guiding the filament into the bowden actually caused that section to flare out, cutting it off has no ill effects.
