Nb! This is version 2 witch is a much better solution for the heavier printers like
Cr10-s pro - Cr-x - Ender 5 - Tevo Tornado
Version 1 can be found here: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3678927,
witch should only be used on the lighter printers like ender 3/ender 3 pro.
I made this Squash Ball damper out of looking upon what was on Thingiverse ,every
dampers i found ,were a bit too high for my taste "if it had to be mounted on the underside "
,so i decided to do my own version.
If you found this design very helpful or otherwise wish to buy me a cup of coffee
( helps keeping the brain active so i can create new stuff ) ;-) ,then please
consider using this link :
This height is the absolutely lowest i can make this Squash Ball damper " if it has to be mounted on the underside " ,so the m4 bolt still have enough material to be tighten with onto the frame for the cr10 or the chassis of the cr-x / cr10pro .
As you can see ,this can be mounted on Creality's Cr10 ,Cr10s series or the Cr-X and the Cr10Pro ,i think it also fits the Ender Series and the Tevo Tornado ,there exist clones of the Creality Cr10 that this should fit on also ,but i am not completely sure about this .
Mounting the Squash Ball Foot .
For the Cr10 or Cr10s you will have to replace the original m4 x 12mm button head with a
m4 x 6mm button head and you need to use the one "small" washer from the original rubber
foot for the new Squash Ball Foot .
The above does not apply for the Cr-X and the Cr10-Pro ,for these you can simply reuse the
m4 bolt and small washer ,because there is nothing in the chassis that can hinder the bolt from going to far in .
From forums i have found that the best option is ,if you mount Squash Balls with the 2 Yellow dots ,and they seem to be the right choice ,they feel really good in terms of "spongyness" for this purpose ,not too much or too little .
