Description
I had a few prints in a row get kinked and knotted up at the extruder (Image 3).
After watching for a while, I saw alot of filament play between the gear and Bowden tube entrance while completing quick retractions.
I designed a little support piece that threads upto the coupler. While adding support, It also makes it easier to swap filament.
Printed M6 Threads at 0.08 mm layer height.
5 mm threaded length
5 mm OD.
3 mm ID
10 mm total length
I would print a few at once, allowing them to cool properly.
I would recommend randomizing you Z-seam. With such a small part, Z-seam on one side might have cooling issues.
Need to disassemble your extruder to thread it in.
If you require a shorter or longer version, comment, its a simple edit/upload.
