Snapmaker 2.0 universal spool holder

Description
This is a spool holder that can take different brand of filaments an is mounted on the spool holder rod that is provided with the snapmaker 2.0.

It is design to have ball bearing with inner diameter of 8 mm.
It can handle, filament spools with:

• Center diameter: 45-70 mm
• Spool Width: 55-85 mm

The design also includes:

• Springed bushing that will keep the spool in the same position on the filament holder rod.
• Scew knob to easier screw and unscrew the spool holder
• Fake ball bearing if you can't get hand on some metal ball bearing with correect dimensions

Mounting guide

1. Slip the spring bushing on to the snapmaker holder rod.
2. Screw the spool holder on the filament spool
3. Slip the spool holder on the snapmaker holder rod.
4. Mount the knob onto the snapmaker holder screw
5. Screw the knob to the snapmaker holder rod.

Known problem

• After printing the spool holder the thread can be very tight, so may need to sit down and screw it in and out bit by bit to get to run smooth.

Update 2020-06-28

• For people that don't want to buy ball bearing I also added print of fake/replacement ball bearing instead.

Update 2022-02-19

• Replace fake ball bearing with new version with more correct dimensions
• Added screw knob that fit on existing screw used to holde the filament/spool holder in place
