Iris display stand and centerfinder / Standfuß und Mittelpunktsfinder for Plotting Compass

This is a stand and center finder for an iris circle drawing tool, aka Plotting Compass. Sadly I'm not rich enough to afford the original "Iris" from Makers Cabinet so I bought a cheap one from Ebay. The stand for displaying it on my desk was not included so I made a custom one.
My Plotting Compass has an inner diameter of 77,8 mm fully opened so depending on which one you have you might have to scale it a little bit for "accurate" center finding. The slot for displaying it is 7 mm wide which works great with my 6,5 mm thick plotting compass.
The model is intentionally supposed to touch the Compass only at two points to avoid wiggling.
Make sure to print rather slowly to get at least fairly sharp edges at the center mark. I used 40 mm/s for the outer wall and 50 mm/s for the inner wall.

PS: Don't do the same mistake as I did and take the Plotting Compass apart. Took me roughly an hour to get it reassembled... xD

Dies ist ein Standfuß und Mittelpunkts Finder für eine Iris Kreisschablone, auch bekannt als Plotting Compass. Leider kann ich mir die originale "Iris" von Makers Cabinet nicht leisten deshalb habe ich einen billigen Chinanachbau auf Ebay bestellt. Dieser hatte, im Gegensatz zu dem von Makers Cabinet keinen Standfuß/Mittelpunktsfinder und deshalb habe ich einen eigenen gemacht.
Mein Plotting Compass hat, voll geöffnet einen Innendurchmesser von 77,8 mm. Je nachdem welchen du besitzt musst du das Modell evtl. etwas skalieren um den "genauen" Mittelpunkt zu finden. Der Schlitz zum hinstellen hat hier 7 mm Breite. Das funktioniert gut mit meinem 6,5 mm dicken Plotting Compass.
Das Modell soll bewusst nur an zwei Punkten Kontakt zum Compass haben damit es trotz Ungenauigkeiten nicht wackelt.
Du solltest tendenziell etwas langsamer drucken um zumindest halbwegs scharfe Kanten an der Mittelpunktsmarkierung zu erhalten. Ich habe mit 40 mm/s bei der Außenwand und 50 mm/s bei der Innenwand gedruckt.

PS: Sei nicht so dämlich wie ich und zerlege den Plotting Compass. Hat mich ca. eine Stunde gekostet sie wieder zusammen zu bauen... xD
