What is that supposed to help?
With accelerated masses like the Y axis, the weight is decisive. More weight means more load on the Y motor => more heat on the stepper driver => that can cause layershift and lead to more ghosting
Less weight means less layer shift and ghosting!

The advantages at a glance:

- SP2 Lightweigt is compatible with the Ultrabase or other finely milled aluminum plates 220 * 220 mm
- Weight of the SP2 Lightweigt is 164 grams (original 290 grams)
- Leveling with 3 point support or 4 point support possible
- Lasered aluminum plate (AlgMg3) 5 mm
- all screws included in the set
- 1 bearing type LMUW8 included
- Improved bearing shells, the two-part bearing shell optimally fixes the bearing, slipping is no longer possible, resulting in better guidance.
- Strain relief for cables is integrated on the plate of the SP2 Lightweigt
- 4 bearings for the Y axis instead of 3 bearings
- The plate can be grounded using an M4 thread
- Travel in Y 220 mm
- The plate is straightened and sanded by hand

Was soll das bringen?
bei beschleunigten Massen wie der Y Achse ist das Gewicht entscheidend. Mehr Gewicht bedeutet, mehr Belastung für den Y Motor => mehr Wärme am Stepper Treiber => das kann wieder Layershift und zu mehr Ghosting führen
Weniger Gewicht bedeutet als weniger Layershift und Ghosting!
