I give you the Maker Whoop 75 TP Edition. It is based off the Maker Whoop 75, link below. This edition supports slightly larger FC's such as the ones used in Toothpicks. It still uses 75mm parts, but to support larger FC's the frame is actually more like 80mm.
My first drone was built on a 3D printed frame I designed, but it lacked durability. I could make it light or strong but not both. Redshifters was the ones to really figure it out, they printed the motor mounts flat and then bent them to shape. This removed the sheer weakness all 3D prints have at the layer line, making the frame as strong as its injection molded cousins.
My first whoop design had a plate to mount the motors to and it created this crazy heavy thing that flew well and was incredibly strong but wouldn't fly on 0803 motors without them getting crazy hot. This frame is 40+% lighter than my previous design, see linked documents below for version specific specifications. I'm still working on dropping extra weight, so revisions will come. I would also like to add extra features like slots for LEDs. I do plan on keeping a vanilla version that keeps weight at an absolute minimum for optimal performance.
The battery mount as is will hold an RDQ 650 2s pack snug and an RDQ 450 2s pack kinda loose. if you need other mount options please send me battery dimensions and I can make more sizes.
