Description
We purchased some tapestry hangers from Amazon (affiliate and direct links below) and liked them so much we didn't want to buy any more, so we whipped up two simple work-alikes with some tweaking to match our taste:
Things are (roughly) sized to fit #6/#8 flat-head bolts. We started with a version for hex-head bolts, but those aren't available at our Home Depot, so we took that out, threw a chamfer in, and use CA/quick-set to lock the cam bolt in place. We haven't had any torque out yet.
And, unlike the version we got off Amazon, we haven't snapped a cam yet, even at only 15% infill. These are about 1" wide (original is about 1 3/4") and maybe a quarter-inch shorter.
Some filaments will look okay un-adorned, but you might want to consider a quick prime and painting with one of those metal-look paints: we used a dark bronze spray it it looks pretty slick. Do sand off (or not paint) the points that contact the hanging, though, just to avoid any potential discoloration/damage.
