Lost Ruins of Arnak Coins and Compasses

Arnak has some great components to begin with - those tablets are fantastic, especially with a little wash added for contrast. However, the coins and compasses were just cardboard. Sure, metal coins and real mini compasses might be fun to add, but I used TinkerCAD and 3D printer instead. There are 27 of each of these tokens in base box.

The coins can be printed in two ways - either print a pair of top and bottom and glue together or use the tight fitting ring to hold them together without glue (can be tricky to line up and you might need to adjust scale slightly depending on your tolerances). Top and bottom are simply mirror images to allow the asymmetric shape to line up. I think they look pretty good without the ring. I printed in gray, spray painted gold, and hit them with GW Agrax Earthshade wash for detail and weathering.

For the compasses, there is a simple round shape and a simple compass needle design (either as a single or in a set of 6 with a sprue). I included a scan of the Arnak compass design for a backing. I used a 5/8" (16 mm) circle punch for the compass faces and to punch out some thin clear plastic as a topper (gluing face to compass, needle to face, and top to needle). I also tried a clear resin epoxy that made a nice shiny glass like finish, it watch for bubbles. You can assemble these to your desires.
