Modular Bug Hotel

Bug Hotel modulare, per ospitare insetti utili all'impollinazione e al benessere del giardino.
Elenco parti:

• bughotel_fori (diametro 6-8-10-12 mm): per ospitare api solitarie (osmie o api muratrici e bombi) che sverneranno costruendosi il nido con del fango;
• bughotel_cassetta_chiusa + bughotel_porta_piccoli: da riempire con paglia per ospitare coccinelle e crisope (contro afidi, cocciniglie, ragnetti rossi...);
• bughotel_cassetta_aperta + bughotel_porta_grandi: da riempire con pigne, semi di liquidambar, cortecce, per ospitare forbicine e falene;
• bughotel_cassetta: vano generico.

Non usare vernici chimiche.
Appendere il Bug Hotel rivolto verso sud, in zone riparate e non troppo ventose, a circa 1.5 m da terra, nelle vicinanze di piante mellifere e terreno.
Cacciare eventuali vespe o calabroni (anche se dovrebbero preferire spazi più ampi), che ucciderebbero le api.

Modular Bug Hotel, to host pollinator and other useful insects for your garden healthiness.
Modules list:

• bughotel_fori (6-8-10-12 mm diameter): to host mason bees or bumblebees (bombus) which will winter building their lair with mug;
• bughotel_cassetta_chiusa + bughotel_porta_piccoli: fill it with straw to host ladybugs and green lacewings (chrysopidae), useful against aphids and scale insects;
• bughotel_cassetta_aperta + bughotel_porta_grandi: fillable with pine cones, liquidambar seeds, bark, to host moths and earwigs (forficula auricularia);
• bughotel_cassetta: generic room.

Do not use chemical paints.
Hang your Bug Hotel facing south, about 1.5 m from the ground, in a sheltered area (not too windy), near melliferous pants.
Hunt possible wasps and hornets (they should prefer larger holes, anyway), which could kill your bees.
