Star Lord's Boot Jets from Guardians of the Galaxy

No Peter Quill Cosplay would be complete without boot jets! These were done in 123 Design (not my best work, but pretty accurate). This is a work in progress. As soon as I print the other set, I'll assemble, paint, then add more pictures of the finished pieces. Hope you enjoy.

Finally finished painting! I've attached pictures of the finished pieces. We decided to go with a Velcro strap around the ankle to hold them on because of the zipper placement of the leg chaps my son used which didn't provide a good hold for stick on Velcro. Also, be careful with the joining of the upper and lower jet halves. I super glued them and had one break apart on me while painting. I re-glued with acetone (since they were ABS) then drilled and drove a small screw at an angle through the bottom half up into the upper half of the jet. I put it in the back, so you won't see it. The two pieces should be redesigned to have a peg or raised area that fits into the other half. If your printer can handle the height, the best option would be to combine the two halves into one piece...
