#About

A "french cleat" style hanger to hang your pictures, posters, or anything else on your wall.

I designed these to mount hexagonal acoustic foam on my wall, but they should work well for just about anything you want to hang.

The recess is designed to fit a #8 screw.

#Printing
Designed with 0.5mm clearance, these should print really well on just about any printer, and print support-free on-end in the orientation uploaded.

I did these with .4mm nozzle, 2 perimeters, and like 8% infill. They seem plenty strong, and I'm sure you could get away with less infill or thinner walls. Feel free to test.

I recommend printing just 2 to start for clearance and strength testing, but once you're confident, you should be able to load the bed up with plenty of them if you are hanging large numbers of items.

#Usage

You will need 2 "cleats" for every item you want to hang. One goes on the wall, with the tab sticking up, and the other goes on the back of the item you want to hang, with the tab sticking down. Put the downward tab into the upward tab and viola, you've got a hung item.

Make sure that the cleats are both "level" (the wall one with respect to the ground, and the item one with respect to where you want down to be), because there is not a lot of ability to adjust level with these once the item is hung. You do get a fair bit of side-to-side adjustment once the item is hung though.
