Edit... the two trays that sit under the card boxes can be used to hold other 3D printed objects, such as staircases, secret doors, etc. They're just there to fill space so use them as you see fit!

This is an insert for the new Hasbro version of HeroQuest which will hold all of the contents of the "Mythic" version of the game and get it all into the core box (note that it was created for the crowd funded game and likely will not work for the retail box). There's a bit of room for new content (such as the Knight's set). It will fit sleeved cards... mine are sleeved with Ultra Pro Matte sleeves.

I tried to create this so there would be as little wiggle room as possible. After all, this isn't the thickest box. However, the player pad by it's nature (since it's consumable) means that there is a bit of wiggle room around it. If you store your game horizontally, this isn't a big deal. In fact, the insert will provide support to the box so you can place other games on top of it. If you store your games vertically, then I'd suggest making sure the pad is at the top of the box.

I alternated the way the rules and quest books were laid into their spot, so that all the spines weren't on the same side, just to make it a bit more uniform but this isn't required. The two larger cardboard tiles go into the space with the rules and quest books while the smallest of the 3 larger tiles I placed in with the character pad.

For the door, make sure you place the two brown doors and the two square doors on either end of the door insert. Those end slots are slightly different sizes to accommodate them.

The female version of the Barbarian fig has an extra rock under her foot and wouldn't fit in the standard figure slots, so she has her own space.

I generally print at a 15% infill for my inserts, but this one I did at 10% to try and reduce the weight just a bit (like a said, not a strong box) and it came out fine.

THE FROZEN HORROR (see pics labeled "FROZEN HORROR")

I made some modifications to include The Frozen Horror Quest Pack into this design. I tried to keep anything that needed to be replaced from the original design to a minimum... I didn't want anyone to have to reprint a bunch of replacement parts. For The Frozen Horror, do the following...

-Replace HQnew_dice with HQFH_dice. This gives you a spot under the tokens to place the tomb.

-Replace HQnew_minis_gargoyle with either the HQFH_minis_gargoyle or the HQFH_minis_gargoyle-cutout. You only need one, not both! The "cutout" one simply has some cutouts in the walls to reduce material and printing time as well as allow easier access to some tight spots the minis are in. I included both because I know some will want the uniform solid walls that the rest of the trays have. This box will hold the gargoyle mini with most of the new minis from Frozen Horror (the rest of the minis from FH will fit in open slots from the original organizer). There is also a slot where the female barbarian will now fit.

-Replace HQnew_bookcase with HQFH_under_gargoyle. The bigger bookcase piece had to be removed in order to get the Frozen Horror fig in and have the gargoyle standing up. This "under gargoyle" piece gives you space for the tables, the two new doors, the weapon rack, and the skulls/rats. Note... if you use the "cutout" gargoyle box, be sure to rotate it over the "under gargoyle" box so that the skulls/rats aren't showing or else they'll spill out through the floor cutout!

-Move some pieces around. As mentioned, the tables and weapons rack now go into the new "under gargoyle" piece. The alchemist and sorcerer's tables are now doubled up in the same spot (there was room). The bookcases now go into the box that previously held the tables & weapon rack. If you prefer a simple box to hold the 3 bookcases rather than the old staggered box that the weapon rack was in, I've included a HQFH_bookcase file to replace it but it's completely optional.
