Description

I really like DeWalt tools and recently decided to reorganize my workspace using the ToughSystem 2.0 tool trays, because they were super cheap in bundles during the annual holiday nightmare sale.

The trays have notches on the inside edges to put in dividers, but DeWalt does not sell any dividers for them. Their instructions just say to make them yourself out of plywood.

After measuring all the edges of the inside of the tray, I designed some basic, 3D-printable flat dividers to go in them. Then I realized they could be thinner in some parts, so I redesigned them to use quite a bit less plastic while still retaining good rigidity.

I also designed them to be ultra easy to print. Each piece has a large, completely flat side so you can print them securely without any special settings (the big flat side should be facing down against the bed). There are also only two different piece designs that make up all seven dividers.

You will need to print:
3x DeWalt_Tray_Divider_Vertical.3mf OR .stl
4x DeWalt_Tray_Divider_Horizontal.3mf OR .stl

My settings include:
PLA filament
.2mm layer height
3 outline layers
5 solid base layers
5 solid top layers
30% infill, triangular

With these settings, the full set uses about 200g of filament. These settings gave the pieces the sturdiness I want from them, but you could probably get away with subtracting a few solid base layers and top layers.

You will need a printer with a minimum bed size of 250mm to print the vertical dividers. They are 243mm long and the horizontal ones are 201.1mm long.
