ANYCUBIC Photon Mono X Clip On Heater Mount
PLEASE READ EVERYTHING01/24/2022 - Fixed the length on the right side of the clip part, opposite to the heater, closest to the rails (it was too long and wasn't aesthetic)
01/22/2022 - Evidently there was a problem with the files where there was a small slice of the 1st layer followed by 1 or 2mm of nothing, then the rest of the model so it was causing prints to fail. I've updated all of the files. So everything should be fine now. Also been verified to have been printed in resin (this was designed to be printed on my fdm printer so I wasn't sure)
01/08/2022 - Added a new "smaller probe mount" version. Same diameter hole just shorter. I didn't print myself as I'm using the original probed version however I wanted this one to be available because it will expose more of the probe however I'm worried that if you bang this it will break quicker than the original version so please take that into consideration
01/06/2022 - I've noticed because of the placement of the heater you'll get a 5 degree F difference between sides. Example: The right side where the probe is will read will read 79F while a probe placed in the center will read 84F. I thought maybe because the probe was tucked a little bit inside the plastic but I took it out and rested it above the hole it would sit in and its just due to the location itself. Now I dont think its that big of a deal but I did observe this so wanted to disclose it, might be a trade off for not turning the heater around and having air blow across the build area.
This is a toolless clip on heater mount with (or without) a temp probe mount on the opposite side.
The heater is faced with the intake fan facing the back of the case as I didn't want air rusing across the build areaDUE TO RISK OF FIRE YOU MUST RUN THE HEATER WITH A THERMOSTAT CONTROLLER! Do not under any circumstance just leave the heater without some sort of automatic shutoff! You'll probably melt the lid or worse burn your house down.By downloading any files on this page User assumes all risk and responsibility and also acknowledges and understands the above and agrees to hold the creator harmless from any and all liability.
Prints with NO SUPPORTS!
Here is the heater used: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07573FKSG/
The zip ties are 2.5mm
MAKE SURE YOUR WIRES ARE AS FLAT AS POSSIBLE AND AS CLOSE TO THE MOUNT AS POSSIBLE (there's zero space back there)
Probe hole is 5mm so should fit most probes
Here is the dual probe thermostat I use: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B083Q7YRBM
(one probe inside the printer enclosure itself, another for my tent)
Another more popular single outlet probe: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01I15S6OM
Note: maybe "clip on" wasnt the best name as although you probably can clip it on, I always slid it on from the top by taking the top plate off...
Print the bottom spacer upside down
Note: I recommend printing this first to make sure your printer is dialed in and it fits
I used PETG because I seen PLA wasnt good to use inside the printer's enclosure? Not sure though
Here are my print settings:
Printer: Ender 3
0.4 nozzle
0.32 layer height
0.45 line width
3 walls
4 top/bottom
10% cubic infill
245/80 temps
