Hey all, recently picked up Fusion 360 for the first time as I needed a way to mount HaraDaya's V2 Handbrake to my Playseat Challenge. So I went to work designing an adapter/mount and that worked fine (posted that in his remixes if interested) but I noticed my handbrake was falling apart from the hard use and I wanted some new features/updates that his handbrake didn't have.
So after 4 days of my free time I was able to produce this! This handbrake is improved in every way for motorsport simulation and far more durable making it more suitable to the Rally/Drift style racing I enjoy. It's powered by Arduino Pro Micro and uses Micro USB and is instantly recognized in most/every racing game/flight game as it uses windows gamepad to emulate an analog trigger.

#Assembly
- I used/designed this for an arduino pro micro and I used 3m doublesided tape to secure the board as seen in the pictures, though you can use hot glue as well.
- Potentiometer MUST be glued in its mounting hole or else it will slip and cause issues. Potentio's are too fragile for a friction fit so I recommend hot glue or super glue. The gear should also be glued to the potentiometer, though this might not be needed as it was designed to be a friction fit.
- When assembling only screw in the 2 backstop pins, install the other 2 but without screws as you need to screw through the cage-mount to secure the assembly.
#Hardware
- Bolts in Swingarm securing the handle/adjustment lever are M5x20
- Handle is secured with M5x15
- The frame hardware that hold the backstops in are M4x10
- The 2 that secure the assembly to the cage-mount are M4x20.
- Bolts that connect the Cage-mount are M6x20 and thread into plastic.
- Springs are 45mm eye to eye, shorter will work as will rubber bands
- The spring holders are M4x12 (you can use anything that fits though).

- Arduino Pro Micro required for the video linked below, can be subbed for other boards like Teensy or Bit-C. To fit inside the housing as design board can't be wider than 19mm or longer than ~40mm
#Printing
- I recommend PETG or PLA+ as some parts are subjected to heavy abuse like the stopping pins and the spring holder on the cage-mount. Also PLA threads don't usually last.
- All parts are in correct orientation for printing except the Handle. It's like 1 degree off, use the "face to align with buildplate" feature to get the handle to lay down perfectly flat.
- Take care to not use supports inside installation holes

- Redesigned from the ground up for more durability and smoother use.
- Deleted complex pawl/lever hold system, very cool feature but not really used in racing.
- Added adjustable E-Brake Handle with ~3in. of travel! Use 15mm M5 bolt to snug. Don't overtighten!
- Added locating/anti rotation dowels that prevent twisting and also act as stops for the lever.
- Better/wider gearing on both potentio and lever for better/stronger engagement.
- Significantly reduced flex in all aspects reinforcing the dowels and mount cage and using M4 bolts rather than printed triangle pins.
- Uses two 45mm springs that are commonly available in amazon spring variety packs instead of rubber bands, however if you could still wrap rubber bands around the spring mounts if you can't source springs.
- Added 3 point M6x20 mounting system for Playseat Challenge. Far sturdier and less flex than original setup. I will probably redesign this again however. It works really well but I feel it can be better taking up even less space/filament while potentially being even stronger.
- USB connection is protected in shroud from accidental disconnects/storage
- Still folds away nicely for storage!
